"I'm not crying, you're crying."

"I'm not crying, you're crying"

Another school year under their belt and our babies are no longer babies.

With schools coming to an end across the metro this week and next we thought we'd share some important information.

Each county in MN can create it's only parameters of how old a child can be to stay at home alone and how long they can be alone for.

MN Law does state reports will be investigated when they involve:

Children age 7 and younger left alone for any period of time.

Children age 10–13 alone for more than 12 hours.

Children age 14–17 who are unsupervised while parents are absent for more than 24 hours

The guidelines do state that kids ages 11-14 may babysit younger children, provided that the caregiver is meant to return later that day and the children know this. They also state that kids ages 15 and older can babysit younger children for more than 24 hours.

So what does that mean for your child, can they be left alone during summer break? Do you feel comfortable with them being left alone?

Do you know we offer solutions that let you know when kids come and go, your system's contact sensors, image sensors and video cameras give you a ‘sixth sense' of what's happening at home.

It also helps you ensure that house rules are followed, even when you're not there.
